At Abbots Court, we have the pleasure of hosting some truly unforgettable celebrations, and Jess and Tom’s summer wedding was one of those standout moments.
The day began with a forecast for rain, but the Dorset sunshine had other plans. With clear blue skies and golden evening light, our countryside venue became the perfect setting for a joyful and relaxed summer wedding.
Jess and Tom held their ceremony in our rustic barn, which felt warm and intimate, filled with love, laughter and heartfelt emotion. After exchanging vows, guests stepped outside for a confetti moment bursting with colour and excitement, setting the tone for the rest of the day.
Drinks were served in our gardens, where guests soaked up the sun and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Bright pink and orange florals brought a vibrant energy to the space, with decor that complemented the surroundings and made every area feel fresh and full of life.
As the sun began to lower, heartfelt speeches filled the air with stories and laughter. Guests played lawn games, mingled, and enjoyed the evening light. One of the most memorable moments came during a playful Prosecco spray with the bridal party, capturing the carefree spirit of the day.
Jess and Tom’s dog was also very much part of the celebrations, charming everyone and adding to the fun. Later, the surprise arrival of an Elvis impersonator got everyone up on their feet and dancing, bringing energy and entertainment to the evening.
The day was captured in a relaxed, documentary style that focused on real moments. Smiles, hugs and happy tears were all preserved just as they happened, allowing the emotion and beauty of the day to shine through.
